Click For Israel is a Web site developed to raise money for Israel – to fund humanitarian relief efforts, and to help stimulate Israel’s economy. We also hope to raise awareness of the unique importance of Israel, what it contributes to the world, and why it is crucial to support it at this time.
Why Israel
After close to 2000 years of exile, the Jewish people has re-established its sovereignty in the land of Israel. In less than a century, swamps have been drained, deserts irrigated and farmed. Industry and technology have boomed, learning and practice of our tradition have proliferated, and most significantly, millions of Jews have returned to live in their ancestral homeland. This is truly a remarkable era in history!
In addition, Israel is the only nation in the region with:
- Freedom of speech
- Freedom of religion
- A working democracy
- A fair and compassionate justice system
- Women’s rights
- Flourishing arts and sciences, research and technology

The Need
The recent wave of intifada (Palestinian uprising) has brought with it a wave of terror so brazen and so brutal, and has taken such a toll on life, the economy, and the overall morale in Israel, that Jews and others around the world have been aching to find ways they can help.

Click For Israel Founders
Click For Israel was developed by Kerry and David Behrendt. Having both lived in Israel, and sharing the passion of Israel supporters the world over, they saw the "donate-for-free" concept successfully implemented by The Hunger Site, and decided it was high-time someone apply this idea for Israel.
David is a Web developer (designing among others, this site) and the author of the soon-to-be released book: "Awareness of Life: Energy and Consciousness in Torah." Kerry is currently studying for a degree in chiropractic medicine. They have two sweet boys and reside in the Los Angeles area.
